Hosted Telephony uses Voice over IP technology to deliver enhanced telephony features at a substantially reduced cost for small businesses. Spitfire SIP Communicator is an award winning hosted solution designed for use by small and medium businesses who need modern communications at a fraction of the cost of a traditional telephone system.

Whereas typically even a small telephone system can cost thousands of pounds. The only capital expenditure with SIP Communicator™ is the cost of the phones, maybe a Power over Ethernet switch if over 4 extensions, and a small remote project management/configuration fee. The initial equipment and engineering cost compared with a telephone system is a reduction of 60%.

For a typical 6 user SIP Communicator™ system, the hardware cost is around £850.00. This includes voicemail, multi site operation, conference bridge, auto attendant and many other advanced features.

VoIP uses an Internet connection instead of ISDN or Analogue lines to connect to the national telecomms infrastructure. Spitfire SIP Communicator includes the Internet Connection to do this – meaning that everything is handled by Spitfire, giving you a single point of contact.

The cost of a Spitfire DSL circuit and analogue line is 75% cheaper to install than the cost of the equivalent ISDN2e circuit. The cost of renting Spitfire SIP Communicator and the DSL connection is around 10% lower than the equivalent cost of renting BT ISDN2e circuits and maintaining a traditional telephone system – PLUS cheaper calls.

SIP Communicator™ extensions cost £10.00 per month. The cost of the underlying IP Bearer circuit is significantly subsidised and costs from £12.00 for an ADSL Max Premium, to £59.00 for a 1:1 SDSL Circuit. Typically total running costs are the same as, or even lower than, a normal ISDN based telephone system – with far greater flexibility .

SIP Communicator™ is hosted at Spitfire's secure data facility in Harbour Exchange Square in London Docklands.

Spitfire are one of the only SIP providers to have our own interconnect with BT, and provide our own ADSL/SDSL circuits; as all elements of the service are provided by our own network, we are able to control the call quality and ensure that you receive a business quality service.
