Spitfire are pleased to announce that we have been selected to trial VDSL, the next generation of broadband which provides speeds of up to 40Mb downstream and 2Mb upstream – 5 times faster than ADSL Max!

What is VDSL?
Spitfire VDSL is exceptionally fast business broadband which depending on the distance from your local exchange and the quality of your telephone line can allow Internet bandwidth of up to 40Mb downstream, five times faster than ADSL Max. Upload speeds of up to 2Mb are available and later in the year another product will be trialled offering up to 5Mb.

At present VDSL is being trialled in two BT exchanges – Muswell Hill, London and Whitchurch, Cardiff with impressive results. There is still time to join this trial which will run until 30th November 2009 – please call 0800 319 6000 or email vdsl@spitfire.co.uk for further information or to find out if you can receive VDSL.

Following the completion of the trial there will be a gradual roll out of BT exchanges offering VDSL throughout 2010 – please click here for a full list of exchanges due to be rolled out next year.

How much does VDSL cost?

For the trial period Spitfire VDSL is free to connect and will cost the same as conventional ADSL Max and ADSL 2+, meaning that customers will benefit from up to 5x the bandwidth as ADSL Max for the same cost!
