Spitfire Network Services Ltd announces significant upgrade of its FireSwitch® Hosted PBX

LONDON, UK. 26 JUNE 2025Spitfire Network Services Ltd (Spitfire), a provider of telecoms and IP engineering solutions to UK businesses, today announces a significant upgrade of its FireSwitch® Hosted PBX, Spitfire’s cloud telephony solution for small and medium-sized businesses.

FireSwitch® Hosted PBX 2.3, which is now available to new and existing customers, offers fully featured hosted telephony without compromising on call quality. New additional features now offered include:

  • An updated admin portal
  • Scheduled reporting for data driven decision making
  • A wallboard to visualise metrics and KPIs
  • Compatibility with legacy or new Snom, Poly and Yealink handsets.

Further existing features include:

  • Softphonesmobile and desktop softphone applications at £1 per month per required extension.
  • Full system call recordingwhether used for training purposes or assisting with resolving customer service enquiries, this provides a real cost and time saving benefit.

  • Cost effective – free of charge set up, low-cost rental, cheap phone calls and free calls between extensions.

  • Customer portal – all recorded calls, along with a whole host of other useful information such as billing and support job updates is easily accessible online.

  • Assured call quality – assured call quality using Spitfire Voice Approved Broadband or Converged Ethernet circuits, with inbound and outbound backup call resiliency included.

  • Scalability and flexibility – add or remove extensions quickly and easily to support changing business requirements. FireSwitch® Flex gives users the flexibility to reduce the number of extensions by up to 20%, even within their contract minimum term.

  • Support – Spitfire’s support is carried out in-house by trained and qualified engineers and technicians based in the UK.
