EFM or Copper Ethernet is the leased-line replacement service that brings superior-performance internet connectivity to your office – while potentially saving you thousands of pounds against your existing connection.
Experience up to 35Mb upstream/download speeds (delivered via multi copper pairs for added resilience), SLAs and guarantees on bandwidth and uptime, and expert support from the UK’s leading EFM supplier…
With EFM, Individual copper pairs terminate on different core access equipment, providing an extra-resilient service and up to 35Mb bandwidth upstream/downstream.
Offering some of the best Internet and site-to-site connectivity available in the UK today, EFM ethernet circuits are delivered over multi copper cores to give increased resilience and reliability. The individual copper pairs terminate on different core access equipment, so if one unit or pair fails you still maintain connectivity across the other pairs.
Spitfire EFM uses the UK’s widest and best-established EFM network, delivered using BT Wholesale’s core network. This provides some important distinctions between Spitfire EFM and other providers – notably that you always get the full bandwidth you order as opposed to ‘estimated bandwidth’. The core network is also fully meshed with resilient routes back to the handover to Spitfire’s core network.
Suitable for converged voice and data Internet access (click here for more on SIP and Business VOIP), Copper Ethernet circuits can also be used for point-to-point connections or to provide a private MPLS network with shared Internet access breakout.
The BT Wholesale EFM Network uses state of the art hardware for delivering Ethernet, with dedicated exchange equipment and CPE equipment. This delivers superior consistency compared with other EFM providers, who often have a single network for DSL and Ethernet.
