Spitfire announces rapid expansion of IoT customer base

LONDON, UK. 20 May 2026  - Spitfire Network Services Ltd (Spitfire), the award-winning provider of voice, internet, IoT and wide area network connectivity services, today announced a wave of new customers adopting Spitfire’s IoT SIMs and One Network to transform their businesses and boost growth. In the last 12-months, Spitfire has increased its IoT revenues by 238% and the volume of its IoT operation by 160%.

JS Power Ltd

J S Power Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and service of high specification diesel, biodiesel and hybrid generators. With over 60 years of combined team experience, the company delivers bespoke power solutions across the UK and internationally, covering both permanent and portable machines.

Remote monitoring of generators is a key part of J S Power’s customer offering. Using DeepSea and WebNET gateways installed on site, the service team can track engine speed, battery voltage and other vital metrics, helping to identify issues before they escalate and giving customers peace of mind. Until recently, this service relied on retail SIMs procured from major mobile operators, with data allowances of 500 MB to 1 GB.

Spitfire introduced IoT SIMs, designed specifically for low-data, high-reliability applications like generator monitoring. J S Power only pays for the data each SIM consumes, eliminating wasted allowances. By aligning connectivity to actual usage, J S Power has made remote monitoring more affordable, more secure and more sustainable.

ZOLB EV

ZOLB EV is a fast-growing EV charge point operator. Unlike large-scale motorway charging operators, ZOLB EV focuses on the ‘destination charging” market – the places where people spend time: hospitality venues, retail spaces, and business locations.

With installations spread across the UK, reliable connectivity is essential. Some locations are in hard-to-reach places, where running an ethernet cable to a data room simply isn’t practical. Spitfire’s IoT SIMs give ZOLB EV a simple, plug-and-play solution that works out-of-the-box.

Spitfire’s pay-as-you-use pricing model allows ZOLB EV to keep costs tightly aligned with real-world usage, avoiding the waste of fixed bundles. And because Spitfire offers both single-network and multi-network SIMs, ZOLB EV has the option to roll out multi-network coverage as deployments expand.

Edwards Modular Controls

Edwards Modular Controls (EMC) has been a trusted name in HVAC and building management systems (BMS) since 1977. From their base in Newhaven, the team delivers full turnkey projects across the South East – designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining control systems for schools, hospitals, local councils, and public sector sites.

As EMC’s customer portfolio grew, so did the complexity of managing multiple sites, each with its own set of building management controllers and operational needs.

EMC turned to Spitfire for a remote access solution designed around the realities of BMS support. Now, whenever a new site comes online, EMC deploys preconfigured Teltonika routers, each one set up to spec by their engineers, shipped out, and ready to plug in as soon as it arrives on site. Every device connects through a secure, Spitfire-managed private network accessed through a VPN with potentially multiple users, with Spitfire IoT SIMs providing independent and reliable mobile coverage

Payment Kiosks

Payment Kiosks is a UK-based provider of innovative self-service payment systems, helping organisations across multiple sectors collect payments securely and efficiently.

Payment Kiosks needed a connectivity solution that delivered reliable internet access, even in remote locations without traditional Wi-Fi or wired connections and avoided the high fixed charges of their existing SIM supplier.

Payment Kiosks adopted Spitfire’s Pay-Per-MB connectivity model, designed specifically for low data, remote deployments. With Spitfire’s connectivity in place, Payment Kiosks can now deploy kiosks anywhere, without waiting for customer network access, and reduce overheads thanks to a low-cost, usage-based model.
